Guest Services

Cashiers

Our guests value our service and ensuring their satisfaction is our goal.  As a Cashier you will be responsible for providing friendly service to guests while handling purchases, accepting payment and making change. In addition, your responsibilites include:  moving guests through the cash register area in a quick and efficient manner; accurate handling and counting of cash; maintaining cleanliness of cashier area; and resolving and assisting guests with any questions.

Cashiers must also have the flexibility of rotating posts to other cashiering departments as assigned.  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Starting rate is $8.45 per hour.

Reservation Information Representatives

Be a valuable asset to our resort by providing exceptional customer service in making reservations for lessons in an inbound call center environment.  It is the Representative's responsibility to match guests' needs with the appropriate products, while setting clear and accurate expectations and ensuring reservations are free from error.

Excellent communication, customer service & sales skills, teamwork, basic computer skills and the ability to work in an office environment are a must, as well as maintainiing call flow efficiency and customer satisfaction.  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.  Starting rate is $8.84 per hour.

Rentals

Rental Technicians

Getting guests ready to hit the slopes by having the proper equipment is essential to an enjoyable experience at Eldora.  As a Rental Technician, your duties include but are not limited to:  assisting guests with appropriate ski or snowboard equipment and outerwear rental; setting skis and snowboards.  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.  Students (age 16-17) may work in rentals fitting boots.  Starting rate is $7.80 per hour for Technicians and $7.78 per hour for students.

Repair Technicians

Sometimes skis and snowboards need repairing and this position provides top notch service to those guests in need of equipment repair.  Having the ability to communicate effectively with our guests to ensure their needs are met is one key component to this position.  You may also assist customers with rental selections, and educating them on the proper care and use of the equipment.  Also, maintaining the rental equipment is in good condition is an important requirement to ensure the safety of our guests.  Prior experience required.  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.  Starting rate is $9.91 per hour.

Food and Beverage

Cooks

Help to ensure our guests are well-nourished during their time at Eldora! This position is an entry level cooking position requiring a positive work ethic.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  understanding the importance of standards, speed and quality; practicing good personal hygience, safe food handling and culinary skills and performing basic cooking tasks for the cafeteria.  Must have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.  Starting rate is $8.50 to $9.00 per hour.

Retail

Retail Associates

Come be part of our exciting Sales team!  The responsibilities for this position include:  ensuring outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging all customers, and assisting them with locating merchandise.  Other duties include but are not limited to:  generating sales, keeping current on product knowledge, completing sales utilitizing POS system with accuracy and efficiency, maintaining awareness of all promotions, sales and advertising.  Cash handling experience preferable but not required.  This is a part-time position.  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.  Starting rate is $8.45 per hour.

Lift Operations

Lift Operators

Ensuring our guests have a memorable experience goes hand in hand with their safety. Executing the safe, efficient and courteous loading and unloading of skiers and riders is essential to this position. The position also requires shoveling and maintaining safe levels of snow throughout the entire lift station area. It is also of great importance to interact with guests to ensure a positive experience, promote safety in the workplace and maintain clean and neat work stations. Must be willing to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Starting rate $8.50/hour.

Base Operations (Parking & Cleaning/Snow Plow Drivers)

Base Operations Staff

This position is an excellent avenue for getting to learn about the resort's day to day operatons.  Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:  guiding guests to their appropriate parking spots; cleaing common areas (tables, floor and restrooms); keeping outdoor walkways and entrances clear of snow by shoveling or using a snow blower; driving a bus to shuttle resort guests (Commercial driver license not necessary).  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.  Starting rate is $8.00 per hour, plus monthly cafeteria credit.

Snow Plow Drivers

First impressions are essential for ensuring our guests have a memorable and unforgettable experience.  Having a clean, snow free parking lot is key for our guests' first impression.  We are seeking experienced heavy equipment operators to accomplish this.  Ideal candidates will have experience safely operating a 936 loader (or similar) and a dump style truck with a blade attachment.  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays, as well as late nights/early mornings in adverse conditions during the ski season.  Starting wage is $12.11 per hour.

Snowsports

Ski Instructors (Non-certified or PSIA certified)

If you have the knack for skiing and have the ability to teach your skills to others, WE WANT YOU as a ski instructor!  Our instructors provide quality ski lessons in a safe and fun manner in both group and private lessons to children and adults of varying ability levels.  You must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season and be an intermediate to advanced skier.  Mostly part-time positions available.  Pay rate is $10.00 per hour (non-certified) and $11.25 - $15.25 per hour based on certifications.

There are no current openings for snowboard instructors but if you are willing to cross over to skiing, we are interested in speaking with you.

Nordic Center

Our Nordic Center provides another great experience for our guests on the mountain. 

Nordic Instructors (Nordic & Telemark, Non-certified & PSIA certified)

Instructors ensure the best possible experience for our guests.  Responsibilities include instructing group and private lessons of varying ages and abilities; guide snowshoe tours; assist with rental gear.  Part-time positions only.  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.  Starting rate is $10.00 per hour (non-certified) and $11.25 - $15.25 per hour (based on certification).

Cashier/Rental Technicians

This position entails being the first point of contact for our guests at the Nordic Center.  The essential duties include, but are not limited to: selling tickets, rentals, and retail products to guests; assisting with maintenance of lodge and Nordic gear; assisting with monely retail inventory.  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.  Experience wth Nordic skiing or retail sales is preferred but not required.  Starting rate is $8.45 per hour.

Ski Patrol

Ski Patrollers

Our Ski Patrollers have a passion for working outdoors and providing great guest service.  Duties include promoting guest safety, assisting injured guests and administering first aid, setting up mountain safety equipment, and maintaining and checking trails.  Must have a Colorado EMT or OEC certification (no exceptions), be an expert skier or rider in all snow conditions, be able to lift up to 60 pounds regularly, and have a good driving record (for snowmobile transportation).
