Ski Patrol (Outside Dept) 

Ski Patroller - Tryout for the 15-16 Ski Patrol.

Ski Tests are scheduled for March 21, 29, and April 4.  You only need to attend one ski test date.  To attend, please report to the West Wing building at 8am on the day of the test.  Bring your ski gear and lunch and be ready for a full day on the mountain.  Lift tickets will be provided if you do not have a season pass.  The tests are for the 2015-2016 season for our full time Pro Patrol and part time Volunteer Patrol programs.  For more information contact: or Travis Brock <>

Patrollers have a passion for working outdoors and providing great guest service. Duties include promoting guest safety, assisting injured guests and administering first aid, setting up mountain safety equipment, maintaining and checking trails, and performing avalanche reduction work. Must have a Colorado EMT or OEC certification prior to the beginning of the ski season, be an expert skier in all snow conditions, be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and have an acceptable driving record (for snowmobile transportation).

Ski Patrol Assistant Director

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Ski Patroller to become part of our Ski Patrol management team and help move us into the future. The Assistant Director works directly with ski area management and the Ski Patrol Director to coordinate, manage and assist in all Ski Parol operations including first aid, lift evacuation, avalanche control, accident investigation, budgeting, scheduling, and other Mountain Operations. The successful candidate has a strong background in Ski Patrol, administrative and supervisory skills, and has a proven record of decision making and leadership. Eldora has a small core of 25 professional patrollers and approximately 50 National Ski Patrol and Paramedic Volunteers.

Base Operations (Outside Dept)  

Parking Attendant - Join Eldora's Team as a Parking Attendant. Job duties include: directing motorists to parking areas, patroling parking areas to ensure parking lot maintenance, and greeting guests as they arrive at the resort. Must be enthusiastic, outgoing, and willing to work in all weather conditions. Positions available immediately. 

Snowsports Instructors (Outside Dept) 

Ski Instructors Only(Non-certified or PSIA certified) - We train you to teach multi week programs, day group lessons and other lesson programming options. If you have the ability to teach skills to others, WE WANT YOU as a ski instructor!  Our instructors provide quality ski lessons in a safe and fun manner in both group and private lessons to children and adults of varying ability levels.  Even if you can only work single days, weekends and or holidays during the ski season, we'll consider your application.  

Rentals (Inside Dept) 

Rental Technicians - Getting guests ready to hit the slopes by having the proper equipment is essential to an enjoyable experience at Eldora.  As a Rental Technician, your duties include but are not limited to:  assisting guests with appropriate ski or snowboard equipment and outerwear rental; setting skis and snowboards.  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.  Students (age 16-17) may work in rentals fitting boots.  

Repair Technicians - Sometimes skis and snowboards need repairing and this position provides top notch service to those guests in need of equipment repair.  Having the ability to communicate effectively with our guests to ensure their needs are met is one key component to this position.  You may also assist customers with rental selections, and educating them on the proper care and use of the equipment.  Also, maintaining the rental equipment is in good condition is an important requirement to ensure the safety of our guests.  Prior experience required.  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.

Guest Services (Inside Dept) 

Cashiers - Our guests value our service and ensuring their satisfaction is our goal.  As a Cashier you will be responsible for providing friendly service to guests while handling purchases, accepting payment and making change. In addition, your responsibilites include:  moving guests through the cash register area in a quick and efficient manner; accurate handling and counting of cash; maintaining cleanliness of cashier area; and resolving and assisting guests with any questions.

Cashiers must also have the flexibility of rotating posts to other cashiering departments as assigned.  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. 

Food and Beverage (Inside Dept) 

Cooks - Help to ensure our guests are well-nourished during their time at Eldora! This position is an entry level cooking position requiring a positive work ethic.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  understanding the importance of standards, speed and quality; practicing good personal hygience, safe food handling and culinary skills and performing basic cooking tasks for the cafeteria.  Must have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.

Retail (Inside Dept)

Retail Associates - Come be part of our exciting Sales team!  The responsibilities for this position include:  ensuring outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging all customers, and assisting them with locating merchandise.  Other duties include but are not limited to:  generating sales, keeping current on product knowledge, completing sales utilizing POS system with accuracy and efficiency, maintaining awareness of all promotions, sales and advertising.  Cash handing experience preferable but not required.  There are full time and part opportunities available.  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.

Nordic Center (Outside Dept)

Our Nordic Center provides another great experience for our guests on the mountain. 

Nordic Instructors (Nordic & Telemark, Non-certified & PSIA certified) - Instructors ensure the best possible experience for our guests.  Responsibilities include instructing group and private lessons of varying ages and abilities; guide snowshoe tours; assist with rental gear.  Part-time positions only.  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.  

Nordic Center Cashier Position (Indoor)- Our Nordic Center provides another great experience for our guests on the mountain.  This position entails being the first point of contact for our guests at the Nordic Center.  The essential duties include but are not limited to: selling tickets, rentals and retail products to guests, assisting with maintenance of lodge and Nordic gear and monthly retail inventory.  Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Experience with Nordic skiing and retail sales preferred but not required.
