2011-2012 Avalanche Classes

AIARE Level I Avalanche:
This is a standalone course designed to introduce the recreational backcountry user to basic hazard management through planning and preparation for travel in avalanche terrain.  Students will learn to select and manage terrain, recognize and manage human factors,  recognize danger signs, make and understand avalanche observations, and perform basic avalanche rescue.
Includes two classroom sessions and two all day field day sessions.
