In partnership with the USFS, Eldora Mountain Resort will trial uphill alpine touring for the coming season. This temporary change in Eldora’s operating permit will allow Eldora management time to review this category of snowsports. Unlike everyday operations for Alpine, Snowboarding and Nordic, Uphill Alpine Touring access will be offered on a modified agenda, including mid-week access and for special events and competitions.
AT Pass Holder “Front Range Gang” Benefits;
Alpine Touring (AT) Season Pass Holders will be included into benefits, beyond daily access 9am-4pm mon-fri, and referred to as “the Front Range Gang”. As a continued component of the AT trial basis, ELDORA will provide the following benefits to Alpine Touring Season Pass Holders for the 2016-2017 winter season. Note: Strict conditions of use will apply and Eldora reserves all rights to cancel all benefits outside the 9am-4pm operating times.
FRG Morning Cardio Sessions
Front Range Gang (FRG) morning AT cardio sessions, will be scheduled on specific Monday and Thursday mornings, in January through March 2017, from 6am-8am. Meet on the south side of the Challenge/Cannonball lift maze, in the base area, for specific guidance to daily uphill/downhill policy. Note: Strict conditions of use will apply and Eldora reserves all rights to cancel all FRG AT benefit sessions, at any time, including day of.

Nighthawks Race Series
Alpine Touring Uphill races will run weekly from February 1st, 2017 through February 22nd, 2017 (Four races total). January 25th is a training night which provides the opportunity for racers to try the course and learn more about AT Uphill racing from experts in the field. March 1st, 2017 will be a celebration where the King and Queen of AT Uphill Racing will be crowned! Click Here for more information.

AT Day product/price is for a person who just wants to access uphill lanes and use downhill slopes for one (1) day, during standard operating times from 9am -4pm.
Season Pass Add-on product/price is for a person who already has a valid Eldora Alpine or Nordic Season Pass, Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus+, MAX Pass and in addition to their season pass wants to access uphill lanes and use downhill slopes for the season, on allowable days/dates/times.
AT Pass product/price is for a person who ONLY wants to access uphill lanes and use downhill slopes for the season, on allowable days/dates/times.
*All Uphill Alpine Touring products do not include lift access within the Alpine ski area and do not include cross country trail access in the Nordic Center.

*Uphill Alpine Touring product/price is ONLY allowed mid-week, non-holiday days, on specified uphill routes, during normal business operation hours from 9am to 4pm. Strict conditions of use exist.
Must use and adhere to designated uphill AT route/s, defined by ski patrol. Note: depending on snow/weather conditions routes may change and may only include limited access to one uphill trail on Lower Mountain and one uphill trail to Challenge Mountain. There are no guarantees the AT access route will be more than one route and that the ski/skin track will be set daily.
Must wear green arm band, with day ticket, add-on pass or season pass for uphill/downhill access identification.
All sales are final and there are no refunds, credits or transfers.
Failure to comply to guidelines and policies may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to eviction, privileges being revoked, arrests, to potential legal action.
Must sign special AT liability waiver at Nordic Center before accessing ski area domain and uphill AT trails, including downhill slopes.
Must use Alpine Touring or Snowboard Split Board equipment.
Must adhere to normal ski area operating times 9am – 4pm.
- Eldora AT guests may start uphill activity at 8:45am.
- Eldora Uphill AT guests may not access the ski area downhill before the ski patrol opens skiing off the Challenge/Cannonball/Indian Peaks/Corona first chair is unloaded. Meaning you cannot drop in from out of bounds, through back country boundary closures, before the area is open officially by ski patrol.
Due to Eldora’s limited parking lot size and small skiable acreage, Uphill Alpine Touring is not permitted on weekends and peak holidays.
The Uphill Alpine Touring community is large in the Colorado Front Range region. Respecting this interest group, we plan to host a number of fun, social and competitive events mid-week to celebrate this category of skiing.
Uphill Alpine Touring is defined as a ski area service category, where skiers and riders opt out of lift access and opt in for ascending ski slopes one step at a time, with skins temporarily attached to the bases of skis and spilt snowboards that prevent backwards slipping.
Uphill traffic routes will be marked with green markers and we will allow uphill traffic to start at 8:45am.
Normal NSAA Ski Responsibility Code and Colorado Safety Act safety considerations exist.
Eldora has back country access gates and Uphill AT day ticket and pass holders may enter the Eldora ski area boundary through these gates, during normal operation times of 9am-4pm.
Visitors that seek Jenny Creek Trail access to USFS domain, must park outside the Eldora Mountain Resort gate and are only permissible to enter and cross the ski area during Eldora Mountain Resort daily operating times (i.e. 9am – 4pm).
