General Information

Due to Eldora’s limited parking lot size and small skiable acreage, Uphill Alpine Touring is not permitted on weekends and peak holidays.

The Uphill Alpine Touring community is large in the Colorado Front Range region. Respecting this interest group, we plan to host a number of fun, social and competitive events mid-week to celebrate this category of skiing.

Uphill Alpine Touring is defined as a ski area service category, where skiers and riders opt out of lift access and opt in for ascending ski slopes one step at a time, with skins temporarily attached to the bases of skis and spilt snowboards that prevent backwards slipping.

Uphill traffic routes will be marked with green markers and we will allow uphill traffic to start at 8:45am.

Normal NSAA Ski Responsibility Code and Colorado Safety Act safety considerations exist.

Eldora has back country access gates and Uphill AT day ticket and pass holders may enter the Eldora ski area boundary through these gates, during normal operation times of 9am-4pm.

Visitors that seek Jenny Creek Trail access to USFS domain, must park outside the Eldora Mountain Resort gate and are only permissible to enter and cross the ski area during Eldora Mountain Resort daily operating times (i.e. 9am – 4pm).
