Carve For a Cause: Making Every Wednesday Count at Eldora
This winter, we’re carving turns and carving out a little more good for our community. Introducing Carve For a Cause—Eldora’s weekly midweek tradition where skiing on Wednesdays doesn’t just feel good; it does good.
Ski, Save, Support – It's That Simple
Every Wednesday all season long, lift tickets are just $99, and $10 from each one goes directly to our Play Forever Fund. These dollars support nonprofits that protect our environment, provide local relief, and help increase access and diversity in winter sports.
But here's where it gets even better: Thanks to a generous $20,000 grant from Subaru of America, we're doubling your impact. For every $10 from your lift ticket, Subaru matches it with another $10—meaning your Wednesday visit generates $20 for causes that matter.
Our commitment to protect the environment and support our communities.
We believe there is nothing better for the soul than living a balanced life full of adventure. Play Forever is Eldora’s commitment to ensuring that future generations have the same opportunities for an adventurous life that we enjoy today. Through our Play Forever commitment, we are changing the conversation to recognize the importance of impacts beyond carbon accounting to embrace a more holistic perspective; a perspective that acknowledges that environment and community matters must be addressed as a holistic ecosystem.
Eldora celebrates the interconnectedness of well-being, the environment, and community. Collaborating with the Play Forever Foundation amplifies our impact, extending beyond local boundaries to national initiatives, avoiding redundancy, and enhancing collective efforts. Our goal is for our cumulative impact to surpass what could be achieved solely at the local level. Through strategic partnerships and resource allocation, the Foundation drives sustainable development, informed by the latest research. We prioritize outdoor recreation, health, and community well-being, leveraging research, technology, and volunteerism. Together, through education and innovation, we strive for a resilient, sustainable future.
Environment
Through our Play Forever commitment, Eldora holistically invests in environmental sustainability projects, participates in scientific research, and proactively advocates for policy change to help create a more resilient world.
Community
Eldora supports our communities through financial and in-kind contributions. We also prioritize direct engagement activities within our local community and around our interconnected world.
Play Forever in Action
We want our guests’ kids and grandkids and great grandkids to be able to play in the mountains forever. To enable that, we bring Play Forever to life locally by prioritizing climate and community solutions, and partnerships and opportunities in our own backyard.
Play Forever Donations
Make a Donation
The Eldora Forever Fund was established to provide funding in support of our community’s successful navigation of challenging times and of a thriving adventure lifestyle for generations to come. The Fund serves Boulder County and our surrounding mountain community and donations are directed to local non-profit organizations that are providing direct community assistance.
Your donation truly makes an impact by helping deserving students achieve their dreams, providing grants and other assistance to a variety of local nonprofits, and bringing smart people together to address critical environment and community issues. Please consider joining our efforts by making a tax-deductible donation.
So far, Eldora has donated $168,000 in support of Nederland and Boulder nonprofits through the Eldora Play Forever Fund.
