Media Information

Information about Eldora's news media policies, media ticket and visits request, and commercial filming.

Commercial Photography/Videography

With extremely rare exceptions for paid partners, Eldora does not host commercial photography or videography. If you want to shoot promotional content and material for a company, service, product, or brand, we recommend contacting one of Colorado's many other ski resorts. Unauthorized commercial photography or videography is not allowed.

On-Site Editorial Reporting/Filming Policy

At Eldora Mountain, we welcome media inquiries and stories about our resort. We operate our ski resort 24/7, and those operations include the use of heavy equipment like snowplows, snowcats, dump trucks, and front-end loaders. To protect the safety and privacy of our guests and employees and to maintain the integrity of our operations, we require media personnel to obtain prior approval from the Communications Team before filming or photography, including on-site interviews. Please reach out to our Communications Team by emailing marketing@eldora.com to request access and coordinate your visit. We appreciate your cooperation.

Media Passes, Lift Tickets, and Hosted Visits

We’re happy to work with members of the media on assignment. If you have a story idea or a pitch we can help with, please reach out with details, including the deadline, publication, and story angle. If you plan to visit the mountain as part of your coverage, please include tentative dates of your arrival/departure. Complimentary products, including lift tickets and rental equipment, may be available to media members on assignment. Please provide at least a week's notice if you intend to request a lift ticket, rentals, or activity access. In addition, Eldora may support hosted media visits to the mountain for credentialed media on assignment. Hosted visits must be requested and confirmed through the resort Communications team at least one month before the visit. We aim to provide our guests with the best possible experience. We do not offer complimentary media products during peak periods, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, the New Year, MLK Weekend, Presidents’ Day long weekend, certain Spring Break periods, and Easter.

Drone Usage

Eldora Mountain prohibits recreational users and hobbyists from operating or using drones on its property and within its National Forest permit area. Requests for the use of drone(s) for commercial purposes will be reviewed by Eldora Mountain and, if allowed, will require the execution of an agreement, certificate of insurance, FAA Remote Pilot Certificate, and adherence to the FAA’s Small UAS Rule (Part 107).
